NET REVIEW… Saturday, September 19 had 6 check ins. Youth operators: KJ7AGQ, KI8AN, KE8ZYD, KJ5EWP and KJ5NVM. Also aboard was KC3CDU.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by. We would sure like to hear a larger group on our Saturday Youth Net. Even a short check in helps support YACHT and gives our young operators another opportunity to get on the air. Let’s see if we can bring a few more youth voices aboard next Saturday.

Thanks to all who checked in and supported our youth operators. We appreciate everyone who joined us during the weekday chat sessions and helped keep YACHT active on the air.
YOUTH NET CONTROL IN ACTION…A big thank you and congratulations to Victoria KE9EKF and Ian KI8AN, who did an excellent job running the Monday and Tuesday chat sessions. Victoria served as Net Control on Monday, September 21 and Ian took the lead on Tuesday, September 22.
We appreciate both of them helping keep the conversations moving on the air. Taking Net Control is a good way to gain experience and build confidence, and we hope other youth members will consider giving it a try.
A Google Calendar Net Control signup schedule is available on the YACHT website at:
https://yachtyouth.net/net-control-signup/
LOGGING YOUR NET CHECK INS… Keeping track of your check ins while serving as Net Control is easy. You can write the call signs on a piece of paper, type them into Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Notepad or another text editor, or enter them directly into the Net Control Log form while the net is taking place.
After the net, simply copy and paste or type your list of call signs into the Net Control Log Google form at:
https://yachtyouth.net/net-control-log/
Don’t let the logging keep you from trying Net Control. Keep track of the calls in whatever way works best for you, submit them through the form, and you are done.
We hope to see even more of our youth members take a turn at Net Control. Every operator who steps forward helps keep YACHT sailing through the radio waves.
