NET REVIEW… Even dozen check ins from Saturday.  Youth onboard:  KJ7AGQ, KJ5EWP, KI5KGE, AC1QD, KC1WST, kC3RAP, KE8ZYD, KE2EVX.  Also checking in were KS8O, K5NO, N8MUF, K8LK.
 
CHAT SESSIONS… Monday:  Checking in were 2 youth: KJ7AGQ and KE2EVX.  7 other older hams also connected.  
ALL hams are welcome, but emphasis on the younger operator has and is our main objective.  With school in session and other family and personal commitments, the youth contingent does drop.  But if you do have a few minutes, support your YACHT team and check in.  We enjoy hearing from our 1st rate young hams, it shows interest and support of amateur radio.  
Tuesday: Climbing aboard were youth ops:  VE3HOS, KE2EVX, KJ7AGQ i/o, KJ5KNG, W8LIL, KR4FTN, N5GNR, KE8ZYD, KI8AN.  Also connecting were KA4RCV, KC3CDU.  A good group of youth.  Total of 11 stations.

CHAT SESSIONS… Monday:  nice session with these top notch youth- KE2EVX, W3MOH, KJ7AGQ, KE8ZYD, KI8AN, KR4FTN, KM7BYE, KD9GV.  Also K3TEL, AD9DO, N7YUM.  
Tuesday:  Another good chat with these young hams:  KJ7AGQ, KE2EVX, KR4CWB new check in, N5GNR i/o, KM7BYE, KF8EKW.  Also heard were K3TEL, N7YUM.

YACHT YOUTH UPGRADE… Congratulations to Adam KF8EKW for his upgrade to Extra class at just 8 years old. Possibly the youngest Extra class in America.  
 
6 NEW MEMBERS… We welcome Megan EI5LA  https://www.qrz.com/db/ei5la  She is 18 and an active young ham in Ireland.

DX-PEDITION NEWS FROM W0AAE…  The Pacific Island DX Group, in partnership with Youth on the Air, is pleased to announce the PJ6Y DXpedition to Saba Island, scheduled for October 15–29, 2025.
Building on the success of the 3D2Y Rotuma DXpedition in late 2024 – which brought together a small on-island team of both youth and experienced DXpeditioners, along with more than 40 youth remote operators – this new effort continues the mission of fostering the next generation of DXpeditioners.
The PJ6Y operation will feature a 14-member on-island team, including nine first-time young DXpeditioners. In addition, the team is seeking a group of youth remote operators under the age of 25 to participate from around the world.
If you are under 25 and are interested in operating remote from Saba Island, please complete the interest form at this link. Participants will receive an instructional video on the remote stations, along with an operating schedule to fill out, in the coming weeks.

UPDATE ON KATIE KE8LQR… She left Aug. 7 for her senior year in Germany.  We will not be hearing much from her as they are 6 hours ahead of us here, and YACHT session are middle of night for her. We wish her the most exciting and successful year.  Will pass along info on her time in Germany as I get them from her Mom.  Enjoy the year with your fine German host family.
Perhaps we can encourage her sisters to join us from time to time on our chat sessions and youth net and keep contact with the Campbell family sisters KF8CAN Evie and KE8TYU Elizabeth.
