NET REVIEW… 11 check ins this evening. Youth stations: KJ7AGQ, KC3RAP, KF8CZF, KN6ULC, KI5EWP, KJ5KGE, KE8ZYD, KI8AN. Also heard from AG5QU, KE2AVB i/o, KG8CX
CHAT SESSIONS… Monday: 8 check ins including these young hams, KI8AN, KJ7AGQ, KE9EKF, KF8CZF. Also showing up were KA4RCV, VU2MDA, KC3CDU, KG8CX Tuesday: 6 stations on board, youth ops KE8ZYD, KI8AN, KJ7AGQ, KR4FLM. Adding their calls were K8LK, KG8CX. Can we raise these connections? We have plenty of outstanding youth ops and others that we seldom hear from. If you have a minute or two, it would be great to hear more check ins, especially our young operators who are center of our operations. Give it some thought and if you have the time, I would love to hear your callsign. I do recognize there are times when a check in is not feasible, such as schoolwork, church activities, family commitments, Scouts, and a few others. But if you can spare a minute or two, stop on by and support your ham radio team. We would be pleased to hear you. Thanks and keep on pumping those signals into the sky.
There is an excellent opportunity for youth this year at Dayton! The Contest University, sponsored by DX Engineering, is completely free for youth thanks to scholarships from the NCDXF. Also, there is a Saturday night Contest Dinner, and there will be a prize drawing of an ICOM 7300 open only to the youth in attendance. Dinner tickets are free for any youth under 25.
Could you possibly include this in the YACHT newsletter, and have any youth who are interested email me at [email protected].

EMAIL FROM NEW MEMBER… Received on Sunday from Carsten …” Hi Ed,
Thanks for accepting me into YACHT, I’m more than pleased to join and soon attend the echolink sessions.
I have a question regarding a youth initiative I have coordinated with AMSAT to create.
StOTA (Students on the air) is something we made where students are encouraged to get on the air as much as they can (mainly satellites as that’s what AMSAT is for but HF is appreciated too.) on every 1st, and 3rd Tuesday of the month. I was wondering if you could pitch this to other YACHT members or any other youth groups such as YOTA.
